Route 66 fan Denny Gibson saw the Cameron Crowe movie, “Elizabethtown,” which apparently has some scenes from Route 66 in it. Here’s what Denny reported:

There is a road trip in it but it is only the last 15-20 minutes of the movie. Once it starts, it gets to some good roadside attractions, including the round barn on 66 in Arcadia. The trip begins when Orlando Bloom opens the book of maps and music CDs that Kirsten Dunst has prepared for him, and folks who watch closely will get a glimpse of Route 66 on the book’s cover. The photo used on the cover is the one of the “sidewalk” section near Miami, OK, that appears on the home page of my website and it appears for a good portion of one second. Woohoo!!
