Robby Love, aka the Roller Rapper, stopped at St. John’s Hospital at Springfield, Mo., to visit sick kids there during his Route 66 tour, reports the Springfield News-Leader.
Enter Robby Love wearing a blue sleeveless tank top, faded jeans and black roller skates.
He did a fancy spin and knelt beside the 9-year-old’s bed.
Aside from a jaw-dropping “wow” when he told her he was skating to Los Angeles and a “thanks” for the pink-shirted teddy bear he gave her, Emily didn’t say anything until he left the room.
“He’s weird,” she said, chuckling.
…
“It gets pretty monotonous while you’re here,” said her grandmother Barb Jacobsen. “Having someone come in and pay attention … makes her feel special.”
You can also follow Love’s Tour Diary here, although he hasn’t written anything on Saturday yet.
In his photos section, it looks like he stopped by Soulsby’s Station in Mount Olive, Ill.

Dennis Kinch completed his 2,400-mile walk of Route 66 on Friday at the Third Street Promenade in Santa Monica, according to his hometown paper, the Attleboro (Mass.) Sun Chronicle.
The article also had details on Kinch’s future plans:
Kinch said he plans to spend a few weeks recuperating in California prior to a planned bus tour at which he plans to revisit many of the people and locations along his route.
He also plans to spend a month or so visiting in Attleboro when he returns to the East Coast.
Kinch plans to reunite with his youngest daughter, Kayla, 16, who is now living in England, and plans to eventually relocate in either Colorado or the Boston area.
He says he intends to write a book about his experiences and has been filmed to appear in a movie documentary.
Here’s more coverage from the CBS Channel 2 in Los Angeles, including video of him finishing his walk.
Here’s another story from the Fontana (Calif.) Herald News.
