ToyWiz.com is taking orders for the new batch of die-cast toy cars from the Disney-Pixar film “Cars,” including these new ones:

The site says these new models will ship in January.

Of course, you can also go to the site and buy the first-edition toys.

I’ve heard from several retailers that they and toy manufacturers have been surprised and delighted with how strong the demand has been for these “Cars” toys this summer. I strongly suspect they’ll be a bit more ready for the market this fall and winter.

(Hat tip to Upcoming Pixar.)

ToyWiz’s inflated prices on the hottest toys is a joke. I bought an entire case on Ebay for $119.00 which included every car, and doubles of others. Amazon is just as bad, they are charging double what you would pay in stores just for the common ones.

Wait until the holidays when the DVD is released (November 7th) and everybody in the country want the die-casts. The prices will double again. I’m just glad these aren’t coming out until January, no one will really care by then.

If you remember, people were paying 400.00 for a tickle me elmo, the day after Christmas, you couldn’t get 20.00 for one. 700.00 for an XBox, 300.00 for a slim PS2 and these were people who already owned a “fat” PS2.

I could go on and on, I saw someone selling their $20,000 beanie babies collection for $1500.00, which included an elephant they paid $4500.00 dollars for.

I’ll be there to cash in on the impatient ones this Christmas.

http://www.disneyshopping.com is just as bad, charging 6.99 for the regular old mcqueen and mater that you can get ANYWHERE.

oh, and by the way, i am almost one of those impatient ones. I can’t wait to get my hands on them - but i will wait. Unfortunately, by the time i usually get to the store, greedy money-wh.ores like yourself has already cleared off the shelves and relisted on ebay for $35.00 per item. Thanks jerk.

Very true. The children cannot enjoy them because the collectors that could care less about “playing” with them have cleared the shelves.
Leave them alone for the CHILDREN!!!

Yes… This is very true. Little kids who just want the cars to play with can’t get them unles their parent is willing to pay $60 for a car on e-bay that would normally cost 1/10th of the price in the store. I did find Hamm at Toys R Us for $4, but I would like to find the Monster’s Inc ones….. Thanks a lot to all you jerk-offs who take the fun out of getting cars like these for litte kids for christmas….
