Googley5 has sent me this YouTube video that features the earliest live-in-concert recording of Rock Hall of Famers R.E.M., way back in 1980 at the famous 40 Watt Club in Athens, Ga. The four songs include “Route 66.”

The Oklahoma Law Enforcement Museum and Hall of Fame will be located in Chandler, at least temporarily on Route 66, the Daily Oklahoman reported.

Chandler is the hometown of one of Oklahoma’s most famous police officers, Deputy U.S. Marshal Bill Tilghman.

The museum will be built next to the historic armory building, which now houses the Route 66 Interpretive Center, within four years.

But for now, the museum will be in an old store building next to the Lincoln County Historical Society in the 700 block of Manvel Avenue, aka Route 66. The museum is set to open there by early 2009.
